In the fall of 2026, I will begin a five-year theoretical and empirical investigation of vicious and virtuous cycles in state-citizen interactions. My research project is titled "EQUILIBRIUM — Changing for the Better: Escaping Negative Equilibria in State-Citizen Relations" and has received generous funding from the European Research Council (ERC) through a Starting Grant of €1.5 million. Once the project is underway, I will provide more details on its progress on this page.
